EESIMA’S RESIDENCE is where Joseph Hardy Neesima and Yae lived. The house was built in 1878, and, together with all its furniture, was designated as a tangible cultural property of Kyoto City in 1985.In addition, the Doshisha has other ten cultural property buildings. They show the Doshisha history itself since 1875.
